法式生日飯@ French Window

今天的生日決定來點不同的，因為生日當天不休假，所以便和一班朋友一起過。地點我是選定了在IFC的French Window，一直也甚喜歡Mira Dining 旗下的餐廳，這家卻是唯一一家還未去的。沿著長長的走廊走到餐廳裡，極高的樓底，大大的落地玻璃，望著窗外的夜景，景色怡人。

The birthday arrangement this year was quite different from the years before. For the venue, I picked the French Window at IFC as it is the only restaurant under Mira Dining that I haven’t yet tried. We were arranged to sit by the windows and see the beautiful view of Victoria Harbour.

一行五人的好處，當然是可以試不同的菜式。先點了一個cold cut platter，一起分享。對cold cut不太認識，但同行有德籍和法籍友人，他們都對一些在香港少見的肉腸嘖嘖稱奇。

Dining with a group of 5 ppl gave us an opportunity to try different dishes. Firstly we ordered a coldcut platter to share. Some of those cold cut was rarely seen in Hong Kong.

主菜，當然離不開這裡著名的魚。點了Halibut fillet with mussels，魚身煮得恰到好處，配上表面的咖哩脆脆，提升了魚的鮮甜。而旁邊的青口十分幼嫩，配搭出色。

For main course, I for sure chose the signature dish of fish, Halibut fillet with mussels. The fish was perfectly cooked and matched really well with the curry crunches on top. The mussels were so fresh and sweet as well.

同行友人點了bone marrow with fleur de sel， 就是簡單的海鹽牛骨髓配香脆多士，完全沒有想像中的膩，簡單的配搭更帶出了鮮味，讓人回味。

A friend ordered bone marrow with fleur de sel. Slightly salty but worked perfectly with the crispy toast.

以下這道一定要寫一寫，grilled beef tenderloin 配有一小块骨髓，還有薯角。友人選了medium的煮法，肉質仍然非常鮮嫩，配著旁邊略咸的骨髓，好味得不禁讓我試了幾口。

Below grilled beef tenderloin might be one of the reason that I will return to French Window. The tenderness of the beef and the delicious fries were the best combination. I couldn’t stop myself to try another bite of it.

得同行友人的精心安排，在the mira的coco訂了一個蛋糕，有可愛的minions figure，將蛋糕外層拿起，裡面的士多啤梨蛋糕真的十分美味。

Last but not least, the fabulous cake arranged by my friend was a highlight. The cute minions on top of the cake and the delicious strawberry cream cake inside. Really have to thank for the great work of the pastry chef.

很感激友人們的精心安排，是很難忘的生日。
