Sushi Uogashi – Taste the sincerity from the dishes

。魚珈旨- 從菜式中嘗到誠意。

中環區總是不乏樓上食店,當中有些更是很有誠意的小店,魚珈旨是我每每要加班時必定會想起的小店。店位於士丹利街,大廈有多間食肆,但晚上人流不太多,每次我都是walk-in的,店員總是很細心的安排位置及介紹每日精選,水準也總是保持得很好,沒有不推介的原因。

There are plenty of restaurants in Central and you can find quite a few of small restaurants with good quality. Sushi Uogashi is one of the restaurants I always recall when I work over-time. The restaurant is located ub a building with lots of competitors at Stanley Street. However, the good quality of ingredients and the great service are the reasons I return.

是夜簡單的來個二人晚餐,點了一個一人前晚餐和一道是日推介 — 沖繩苦瓜炒黑豚玉子。店員在下單後,很快地已送上前菜,除了海帶沙律外,有蘸蘿蔔牛舌。牛舌煮得剛好,沒有過稔,而配上爽口的蘿蔔,甚開胃的。蕃茄厚燒玉子沙律,配清新麻醬,厚燒玉子十分香甜。

We ordered a set dinner and the recommendation dish, pan-fried pork and egg with bitter melon from Okinawa. Server brought us the appetizer quickly after taking our order. The small dishes of appetizer were very fresh and tasty, especially the ox tongue with pickled carrot. The tomato and egg salad was a refreshing one as well.

套餐配三式刺身及壽司。刺身,師傅選了三文魚、油甘魚和甜蝦,個人最愛油甘魚,甘香美味。鮮磨的芥末鮮味無比,單吃芥末已經很可口。:P壽司,有赤貝,劍魚、金槍魚,鮮甜的味道是只有新鮮食材才會有的。

The set dinner included 3 types of sashimi and sushi. For sashimi, the chef selected Salmon, Hamachi and Amaebi. Personally I like Hamachi the most. The wasabi was freshly ground. For sushi, we had Akagai, Kajiki and Tuna. You can taste the sweetness and freshness from the ingredients.

有別於味噌湯,我選了侍者推介的鯛魚湯,個人一向愛飲魚湯,營養豐富,而且十分香甜。鯛魚湯十分足料,不但有香菇和菜絲,還有香滑的豆腐和水晶粉,有如食了一碗小烏冬得飽肚感。

Apart from the miso soup, I chose the Matai soup recommended by the server. The soup contains lots of ingredients, such as Chinese cabbage, mushroom, tofu and crystal rice noodles.

主菜,是鐵板安格斯牛柳粒配炒雜菜。一上菜,熱力四射,鐵板相當火熱,燒汁射得四處都是。安格斯牛肉和和牛的口感十分不錯,安格斯牛肉結實的很,和牛則是入口即溶,今次的牛肉燒得略熟,所以比較有咬口。

Our main course, Grilled Angus beef and pan-fried vegetables. Be cautious of the heat! The pan was so hot and the sauce spilled everywhere. Angus beef is so different with Wagyu. The texture is much firmer and chewy.

是日推介,沖繩苦瓜炒黑豚玉子。苦瓜甘味十足,而且十分清爽,豚肉肥美又甘香,玉子包裹著苦瓜和豚肉,鮮味十足。配上白飯,簡單得像一道家常菜。

Seasonal item recommendation, pan-fried pork and eggs with bitter melon from Okinawa. The bitter melon was so refreshing, which matched perfectly with the pork and the sweetness of the eggs. With a bowl of rice, it can also be a simple dish that you can make at home.

侍者最後送上豆腐雪糕和芒果雪糕。芒果雪糕在此就不寫了,豆腐雪糕卻必須一提,豆腐香,清淡得來在你的口腔爆發,有齒頰留香的效果,甜度剛剛好,推介。

Server brought us the ice-cream in mango and tofu favour. Have to recommend Tofu ice-cream due to its light-weighted favour and the light sweetness. Highly recommend.

With the sincere service and good quality of ingredient, the owners (who are also the chef) also provide the best ingredients and offer you the best. Worth a try.
