。Aberdeen Street Social – 英式玩味與創新。
PMQ自開幕以後,已逐漸成為中環區內的新熱點,而大樓裡的幾個餐廳亦備受各界關注。而當中Aberdeen Street Social 以英式新派料理為主打,充滿玩味和創意,深受歡迎。前菜小食已可見一斑,賣相看似簡單的爆谷,原來加入了松露油,十分香口。而且餐前的麵包非常香脆,盛牛油的用碟亦非常特別,足見餐廳的用心。
PMQ has been one of the new hit in Central after its opening. The restaurants and cake shops inside are also getting lots of attention. Aberdeen Street Social, among all of these restaurants, provides British modern cuisine with playful and innovative ideas, which brings it lots of supporters. You may see it from the appetizers. Truffle oil was added to the simple-looking popcorn, which made it smelled so nice and tasty. The bread was so crispy and the butter was served on a designated plate.


新餐牌上,不少菜式也隨著改變,但前菜的這道卻保留著 – 北海道帶子剌身配魚湯啫喱、蘋果、紫蘇、牛油果和芥末 。絕對是餐牌上備受食客愛戴的一道菜,不但賣相精美,味道層層遞進,讓人印象深刻。
On the new menu, quite a lot of dishes have been removed and changed but this was definitely kept, Raw Hokkaido Scallops, dashi jelly, apple, shiso, avocado and wasabi puree. With the most complicated and detailed flavour as well as a very beautiful presentation, it is not difficult to be the most popular dish on the menu.

蕃茄沙律配蕃茄凍和羅勒,整道菜有三款不同的蕃茄,每一種的味道亦有點不同。而配上急凍羅勒粒,分子料理的元素也加入到菜式裡,非常創新。
Heritage and heirloom tomato salad, burrata, chilled tomato consomme, frozen basil. A vegetarian choice on the menu, including 3 types of tomatoes. It tasted so refreshing and interesting with the frozen basil.

松木燻鵪鶉配薏米,茶及鵝肝多士。以煙燻盒帶到檯前,再拿出已燻好的鵪鶉,那煙燻的木味撲鼻。而薏米非常煙韌,鵝肝慕絲多士和茶的清新中帶點穩重,飲了後覺得味道收歛回來,著實不錯。
Pine smoked quail, “brunch” cereal, tea and toast may probably be another popular dish on the menu due to its creative presentation. Quail was brought to the table in the smoked box, what a brilliant idea! The “brunch” cereal was quite crunchy but the tea and toast calmed down the taste.



前菜這麼吸引,難得讓人更期待主菜。黑毛豬柳配洋蔥及紅椒酸辣醬,賣相出色,上菜時已看到粉紅色的豬柳,非常香嫩。香煎鱸魚配藜麥、黃蘿蔔、酸忌廉、韭菜和黑咖喱,藜麥大家都會想到健康食品,但配在這道菜裡,差點搶了鱸魚的角色,全因那黑咖哩酸忌廉和它的味道是多麼的搭配,讓你不禁會仔細地想了解每一種味道。
Starters were so attractive already and made us look forward to the main course. Iberico pork chop , spiced onion petals, red pepper chutney had a very pleasant presentation, since the pork chop was cooked to a beautiful pink colour. It also tasted surprisingly good with the red pepper chutney. Se bass, quinoa, yellow carrot, chives, sour cream and black curry gave you another experience on the creativity of the chefs. The side dishes draw you attention by creating a complicated flavour, which made you want to analyse one by one. The black curry was an interesting touch here.


牛肝菌燴飯,配上香酥的金菇和芝士,讓人感覺到它的香滑和濃郁的味道。意大利飯煮得剛剛好,軟滑得很,和金菇的香脆剛好成了美麗的對比。 而另一道主菜,羊肉配茄子和四季豆,羊肉有別於一般的羊架,肉質較幼長,放在底部的茄子吸收了肉汁,非常美味。
Risotto of ceps, crispy shallots, truffle mascarpone cheese was one of my favourite, because of the contrast of the crispy Enoki mushrooms and the creamy risotto. Another course, lamb rump, confit neck, kidney powder, pale aubergine, French beans, gave us a different impression of lamb as the meat was much thinner and smooth than the normal lamb rack. The aubergine tasted very sweet as it absorbed all the juice from the lamb.


雖然這天食午餐,但也不忘一試這裡出名的雞尾酒。選上了無酒精的Apple A Day 和 Get Lucky! 兩杯都非常清新,主要以果汁及薑啤組成,而且以紅色為主調,十分吸引。尤其以Get Lucky!的那張$1000更可說是話題之作。
Though we came to enjoy lunch, we didn’t forget to try the special cocktail. We picked the mocktail, Apple A Day and Get Lucky! Aberdeen Street Social has created some nice and cute names for the drinks. The mocktails were used fruit juice and ginger ale as base and had very similar color tone. The $1000 note at Get Lucky! was really one of the gimmick.


午市其實另有套餐選擇,價錢中上,比較適合商務午餐選擇。下次希望可以來嚐嚐晚餐,也試多一點雞尾酒。
There are also set lunch provided during lunch hour with reasonable price that would be suitable for business lunch. Hope we will try some cocktails and enjoy dinner here next time.
