。Wah Shuo Local Restaurant – Heaven for Carb-lovers。
Chinese has a saying that the earlier you wake up, the best thing you will get. Last weekend, I woke up early than usual and went to Ping Shan with friends for Wah Shuo Local Restaurant. If you want to come here for brunch, you really need to get up early to queue. Perhaps walk around the heritage path for an hour, and then return for queuing.
Everyone would order the pineapple bun, the tomato & egg pineapple bun with a piece of butter. The pineapple bun was baked to very hot and crispy in order to let the butter melt and absorb by the bread. Friend preferred to eat it while the butter hasn’t yet fully melted as you would enjoy two different texture (1 cold, 1 hot) , which is exceptionally good.
The salted beef and egg and cheese would definitely be my favorite. It made me feel great while looking at the cheese melting. It also made the salted cheese taste much richer and better.
Looking for something lighter. Perhaps the shredded egg and vegetable sandwiches would be you choice.
The macaroni with tomato soup is on the top of my list all the time. The version here is almost the best tomato soup in Hong Kong since you can taste the freshness of the tomato which you can’t find elsewhere. Want to add some toppings? The pork chop would be the best choice. However, they didn’t have the pork chop when we visited. Chicken wing would also be a good choice. It’s really worth recommend. If you want to visit it, remember to come earlier while it is closed on Sunday and opened only till 5pm on weekdays and weekends/
