。Feast – 足以媲美自助餐的半自助餐。
趁家人生日,首次來到港島東的EAST Hotel,一試其半自助晚餐。高樓底落地玻璃設計,十分開揚。一進餐廳,一字排開的前菜和甜品吧,有不同的海鮮,如長腳蟹、蘇格蘭生蠔、青口、各式肉腸等等。生蠔非常新鮮肥美,長腳蟹肉配多士亦不錯,另有各款沙律供選擇。
Visited Feast at EAST for the semi-buffet dinner and celebrate the birthday of a family member. The ceiling-to-floor windows have given an open view to the guests. The starter and dessert buffet section was so attractive as well while you walked passed. For starter, there was a variety of seafood, coldcut and salad for selection, such as king crab, oysters from Scotland, mussels. The oysters and mussels were so fresh and tasty. You may match the crab meat with french bread. Also quite delicious.




主菜五選一,整體味道配搭出色。先一說中式選擇,薑葱蒸海鱸配白飯,魚蒸得剛香,十分香滑,亦份量十足。白飯真的完全變了配角,試了一小口,蒸魚和白飯就是沒挑剔的配搭。
Main course can be chosen from 5 different choices. I have to admit that the 4 main courses that I have tried were all in good balance of taste. To begin with, the Chinese style main course, steamed sea bass fillet with shallot, ginger, soy sauce and rice, was perfectly cooked. The fish was so smooth and served in a big portion which you may rarely have a chance to enjoy the rice.

慢煮雞胸、香草雜菜絲和意大利米型粉,是餐牌上的淡口味選擇。雞胸以慢煮方式製作,食下去不覺乾身。湯是帶點微辣,帶著泰式風味,配上米型粉,便有點泡飯的感覺。
Poached chicken supreme with orzo pasta and pesto spaghetti vegetables was a light flavour main course in Thai style. The chicken breast was slow-cooked to fine. It tasted smooth but not hard or dry. Soup was a bit spicy but worked really well with the orzo pasta.
美式的Mac n’ Cheese 芝士龍蝦汁焗通粉,香檸麵包糠味道有趣,但總是比較喜歡正宗的多芝士版,這個就是芝士比較少的,有點不對味。
Mac n’ Cheese in American style was an interesting combination with lobster bisque and gratin gremolota. Cheese was not so enough for me while I prefer the original version with massive cheese covering the macaroni.

烤牛脊肉配紅酒烤肉汁,以及洋蔥炒薯塊和蘑菇,是這夜最出色的一道主菜。牛脊肉烤得剛好,紅酒烤肉汁味道恰到好處,取得平衡的一道菜。
US hanger steak with sautéed potato, mushroom and red wine jus was the best choice among all main courses. The hanger steak was perfectly done and the sauce was well absorbed by the mushroom and potatoes.
食過主菜,先來一點芝士再進入甜品環節。Brie 和Camembert 兩款我十分喜愛的芝士,配上餅乾或是法包也很不錯。甜品相對於前菜和主菜相對失色了,最精彩的也是最意想不到的Nougatine,以焦糖包裹著花生和果仁,香甜又脆口,讓人停不了的甜點。朱古力慕絲蛋糕濃郁得很,現場同時有迷你雪糕筒供應,廚師會介紹當天的口味,選上了石板街味,相當不錯。
Had a bite of cheese before getting started the dessert section. Found My favourite cheese, Brie and Camembert, to pair with biscuit and french bread. The dessert section was somehow a bit disappointing as it was not as perfect as the main course. Nougatine was the best and surprisingly good one of the night. Nuts was covered with caramel and tasted super delicious and crispy. Chocolate mousse cake was rich but not smooth enough. There were also daily ice-cream available at the dessert bar. You may ask the chef for the choices. The rocky road flavour was so yummy and I couldn’t stop myself to have another one.






這個半自助餐的性價比不錯,真的可媲美自助餐。而主菜確實很出色,味道平衡得很好,甜品雖然有點失色,但仍然找到心頭好,值得再來。
The semi-buffet was good in quality and price, and it was very compatible with a full buffet. Main courses were surely outstanding and taste was well balanced. You would always be available to find something suitable for you at the dessert as well. Really worth to return.
