L’altro – Summer is all about Sea and Love

。L’altro – 充滿海洋氣息的夏天。

L Place一直是中環其中一棟主要食廈,雲集不少尚盛食府,而L’altro便是當中一員,以意大利菜作主打。這次便和同事一起來試試其清新夏日菜單,充滿海洋氣息的菜式,甚是期待。打頭陣先是各式各樣又香噴噴的麵包,其中芝士包更是香口,非常美味。

L’altro is located in L Place, one of the building that gathers lots of restaurants in Central. The new summer menu has unveiled the characteristics of summer flavour. So happy to be here with my colleague to try the new menu. The bread basket has attracted us quite a lot before we began the meal.

3款前菜分別使用了八爪魚、帶子和吞拿魚3款海鮮食材。香烤八爪魚配柚子及水牛芝士沙律,柚子非常清新,八爪魚煮得剛好而不韌,而且烤的味道較濃,正好配著清新的水牛芝士和柚子。而紅吞拿魚他他配冷車厘茄汁和羅勒雪葩,雪葩味道較突出,突顯吞拿魚他他的甜味。香煎帶子配西瓜汁及青瓜雪葩是個人比較喜歡的前菜,西瓜汁的清甜和帶子很搭配,和夏天很相襯。

Octopus, scallops and tuna have been used separately in the appetisers. Grilled Octopus  with Grapefruit and Buffalo Stracciatella and Cheese Salad is well presented with refreshing grapefruit and light salad. While Mediterranean Red Tuna in Fresh Cherry Tomato Sauce with Basil Sorbet and Parmesan Cheese Cookie has kick-started with the outstanding basil sorbet, the sweetness of the tuna tartare has been even enhanced. Besides, “One Side” Roasted Scallops, with Watermelon Sauce and Salad, Almonds and Cucumber Sorbet is my favourite among all the appetisers. The sweetness of watermelon sauce matched perfectly with the scallops and felt the summer flavour.

主食有著Miramonti L’altro秘製意大利飯和北意大利傳統蜆肉配手製意粉,意大利飯相對於意粉味道較淡,但那蘑菇和芝士的清香卻是無法比擬。而之後相對「重口味」了一點的北意大利傳統蜆肉配手製意粉,食下去就是有一種濃郁的海水味,意粉煮得al dente,而蜆肉帶著海水味更讓人覺得新鮮。

Miramonti L’altro Risotto with Mushrooms and Sweet Cheese has followed the appetisers, with a light cheese and mushroom fragrance. The texture was just perfect and made a great contrast with the following hand-made Spaghetti with Italian Clams in Sea Water Emulsion.

主菜的香煎海鱸魚配上泡沫狀的海鮮羅勒汁,味道簡約,食得就是魚肉的鮮味。反之,地中海海鮮濃湯便更特別了,時令海鮮端上桌,侍者再在跟前倒下濃湯,香味四溢,和脆包一起食,味道便更不錯了,海洋的感覺也更突出了。

For the mains, Sea Bass, Mussels and Clams in Fresh Basil Sauce with New Potatoes has surprised me a bit. The sauce is well presented in foam. Its lightness has drawn all the attention to the sea bass. Mixed Fish, Lobster and Crustaceans Soup with Brioche has left me good impression among all the items on new menu. Soup is freshly poured in front of you and it tasted so good with the crispy toast.

食過一輪濃郁海鮮味的菜式後,甜點便強帶點少甜,先有自家製招牌意大利雪糕Gelato Miramonti配士多啤梨,酸酸甜甜的配上不太甜的意大利雪糕,簡單的美味。而紅茶焦糖燉蛋配蜜桃及雪葩亦以少甜取勝,紅茶味甚突出的燉蛋較與別不同,大家不紡試試。

After all the seafood items with strong flavour, some lightly sweet desserts would be perfect to complete the meal. Gelato Miramonti with Warm Strawberries was a simple dessert with balanced sourness and sweetness, as much as the other dessert Black Tea Crème Brulee with Gratinated Peaches and Sorbet.
